Cleveland’s Summer College Rowing League

Planning on sticking around Northeast Ohio this summer? Well why not
keep in shape, meet some new friends, and start preparing for the
fall season! We cordially invite you to join us this summer on the
Cuyahoga River for seventh season of Cleveland Collegiate Rowing
(CCR). Last season was a great success with about
20 men and women. We have plans to race at the Chicago Sprints.

CCR is a summer rowing program based out of the Cleveland Rowing
Foundation (CRF). It is designed exclusively for collegiate rowers
and is coordinated and coached by CSU coach, Erini Anthopoulos.
You do not have to be enrolled in one of our three collegiate programs!

Tentative Practice schedule is Monday 7:30pm, Wednesday 7:30pm, and Saturday 8am/10am. Other practices can be scheduled by demand. Athletes are encouraged to attend all dates but will not be penalized if they cannot. No discount will be made. ** Opportunities for independent boats will be discussed for more water time.

The tentative orientation and first day of practice is Monday, June 1, 2015. The program runs until August 15, 2015.

Coaching will be rotated by CSU coaches.

We are planning on racing at Chicago Sprints in July


Q:Do we take novice (new to rowing)?


Q:What is an assessment?

A:An assessment is another term for individual boathouse dues
The policy in place is: no college rower should have to pay CRF for more than two semesters
Part of the cost goes to cover JCU expenses for providing boats, coaching, and use of equipment

Q:Do you have to be an undergrad?

A:No, you can row on this team if you are in college, recently graduated, a college rowing alumni, working on your masters or doctorate, a CRF coach or just not old enough to row with the Master’s

The Cleveland Collegiate Barge Club operates out of the
Cleveland Rowing Foundation bouthouse, located at 1003 British St., Cleveland, OH 44113. The boathouse is located
on the East bank of the Flats.Directions can be found here: Directions.


Price to be determined
We can be flexible with
cost and payment schedule if reasons warrant. Just Ask.

Each participant must register with the Cleveland Rowing
Foundation’s online registration system, Active Net. This
system can be accessed through the CRF web site’s home
webpage, at www.clevelandrows.org.

This registration includes a waiver and other information
which must be filled out in order to participate.
